407 SW Tailgate problem

I have just bought a 57 plate 407 SW HDI GT with 86K on clock. The creaking and rattling that I thought was the boot parcel shelf is in fact coming from the tailgate which does this not only when opening or closing but when you go over the slightest bump. Driving me mad! Any ideas please?

I had something similar with my sw if you lift the glass section of the boot and look on the inside to the wiper mount is there is a plastic cover over it on mine a nut had come loose and was rattling about inside the cover.
