Angry 407 fails to start

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has any advise they can send my way.

I own a 2004 1.6hdi 407 and about 6 weeks ago the car stopped working. Drove to the shop without a problem but when I got back in the car to leave it would not start, electrics worked but would not turn over.

Got it towed to a local garage and they diagnosed it as a key fault when hooking it up to the diagnostic machine (mechanic from peugeot dealer with Peugeot Planet software apparently).

5 weeks later, and a new key, I get the car back for 24 hours before the same problem occurs. Back to the same garage as they said they would look at it again for free.

New battery bought this time and now, 48 hours later the same thing again..... It has started without a problem during this time.

Anyone heard/know what this could be down to? Could it be the starter motor?

Won't be taking it back to the garage but reluctant to go to peugeot dealer due to cost.

Any help would be much appreciated!!!!!

Heard the connection to the main fuse box in engine bay plays up , maybe take a look or get someone too.

Any codes from the diagnostics ?

Thanks for the reply,

Don't have the report on me but a garage next to my work took a look during lunch and the starter coil fuse was blown, replaced it and the car started fine.
