Default 307cc boot button not working?

HI all,

One of the little faults my new cat has is the 0 in the 307 on the back of the car doesn't work to open the boot, it will open off pressing the unlock button on the key and the switch in the boot is set as it should be so the button should work. Anyone any ideas? is this a common thing, easy fix??

thanks

New "0" switch needed , if its opening with button and you`ve set it to open inside (not permanent lock on dash) the car then the wires are intact .

ok so finally got round to looking at this problem over the last couple of days. Took the switch out and had it to bits the switch seems to be ok so i closed the boot with the wire that goes to the switch hanging out the "0" hole and put a paper clip in it, the boot didnt open. The wires just go off into the loom and nothings looks wrong that I can see. Anyone any ideas what could be causing the boot to not open off the button?

Lock the lock manually with a screwdriver. join the two wires going to the ''o'' button, what happens?
If nothing then you've other problems. if it opens the lock then you need a ''o'' button switch.
I'll need last eight numbers of chassis to look up wiring for you if you have more peoblems.
