Hi, can anyone help please. I have a Peugeot 307 2002 hatchback and yesterday after returning to my car and openening it with my key the car wouldn't start. As the fuel level was low (travelled 13 miles from petrol light appearing) thought this was the fault. However i put £5 of petrol in but the car still won't start. Also it won't lock manually or using the key fob. The AA were unable to fix the problem and think its something to do with the car not recognising the key? Any ideas?

Even if the car didn't recognise the key, it would still be able to manually lock the doors.
