hey guys. probably already have a topic open about this already but couldnt see it anywhere else. so my apologise in advance...just wonderd if any1 on here has any info or could point me in the right direction to fixing my 307 heater. was working fine apart from a nasty burning smell coming from it. so pulled up and popped the bonnet to check if anything burning under there. Just to go back in my car and noticed the heater has stopped working completly. doest blow cold or warm air now. and wont even switch on. its a 1.4 2005 air con one if thats any help....thanks....ANY HELP PLEASE....

found the problem...it was a burnt out resistor....also the block it connects into is completly burnt...any ideas how to fix a new 1...got 1 but not sure if its suitable..it came off a 307 so are they all the same???? cheers

where would i get this from???? does it involve taking the loom out as i heard its quite difficult and expensive????

any ideas how to put a new resistor in...as the old 1 burnt out a bit of the old loom end???? pleasssse help

How many wires has it melted in the loom? I did one the other day what had only melted the red 12v wire so managed to pull it out of the connector block then solder a wire direct to the pin on the resistor, then join it with a bullet connector to the old red wire after cutting away the melted/burnt part of the original wire.

hey mate it melted the black wire. and melted the resistor aswell where they connect...but a bit puzzled to why the whole thing stopped working when it only burnt out the black which connects to heater number 1???? any help would be great pal. would i need a new reistor or can this be rescued...thanks again

hey guys fixed this problem now by chopping the burnt out wire and putting in a new wire staight to the resistor....jst wonderd if any1 has had the problem reoccur...and if it is safe doing it this way....thanks guys...oh n gurls
