Default 307 HDI stop light comes on

Hi I have only had this car for a short while. Every once in a while the STOP light flashes sending me into a blind panic then goes off. Car seems to be running quite smoothly although I did have have to replace the clutch. Has anyone any ideas what this could be??

Now there is a question!

You'll need to get it hooked up to Planet and see what, if any, codes are present

1. Door open.
2. Overheating.
3. Brake fluid problem.

Get a diagnostic check done.

I'm guessing it beeps 2 or 3 times when it flashes? Next time have a look at the MFD (screen on the dash) and see if it says anything?

A while ago I used to see the STOP light flashing for literally a couple of seconds - after the 3rd or 4th time of it happening I noticed the MFD said something on the lines of 'Engine Coolant Level Low' - a top up of coolant solved the problem. I wouldn't have known had I not caught the message, as it disappeared so quickly.

Afo, thats exactly what happens!! I don't get a chance to see anything else, just about in blind panic then all seems normal.

I will get all the fluids checked in the meantime and hope this solves the problem.

Hi Guys

Went to the garage this morning as started the car and flshing stop sign and beeping occurred again. They checked my brake fluid and coolant and topped up my oil. All seems fine but when I left work this evening I had 3 beeps after about 1 min down the road but no flashing. Any Ideas?????

to get a definate answer you will have to have a planet hookup by the dealer or holder (check bettys sig)

i used to get this when my abs sensors were faulty...but i also got the brake warning.

but like i say for a definate detection, planet it is. other diagnostics garages your car doesnt like them and wont work as good.

As well as what John says above, see if you can get someone else in the car who can watch the MFD with a hawks eye...you need to be quick to catch it if there is a message! As well as the coolant one, I recall having an 'oil pressure low' message at one point...I think that was the time I had turbo problems which lead to a new turbo being fitted
