307 cold start problem

have a 2004 307 and having difficulty starting on acold morning , i no the heater plugs dont kick in untill around 5d or lower , but glow plug light seems to flash as i am cranking the engine over , it usually end up starting but is just a bit rough and lumpy for a few seconds , any ideas thanks

Could be any number of things. I'd start by replacing the fuel filter, and getting the battery checked.
