Default A 206 D Turbo Question

Hi guys, I'm looking for a replacement for my 307 HDI.

I've seen a 206 2.0 HDi 90 D Turbo for £2,800 and just wondering what they are like for reliability? Is there FAP, DMF or any other scares?

And is there anything that regularly goes wrong on these?

No FAP! DMF etc. comes with the territory with all 'modern' diesels so you take that one as it comes. Main other issue AFAIK is the damped crankshaft pulley which may or may not have been replaced for a solid one at some point under warranty.

sweet, so not much to worry about? how much would that thing cost to do? Not a recall?

Annnnd does anybody know if the 1.6 HDI 307 is any better than the 2.0 HDI?

both 110bhp.

I kinda want another peugeot. Don't ask why, french are stupid, but I'm used to them

crank pully is about £40-50 to buy, as for the 2.0 or 1.6 HDi ive drove both and i would say go for the newer 1.6 110 HDi as to me its a lighter engine than the 2.0, and when mapped they are quick! i was shocked when my dads was done plus mpg is good as well, i do like the 2.0 110 HDi as it feels better down the rev range to me, the only other thing really is they both have DMF and FAP unless you remove the FAP

I agree with you on going back to peugeot ok as my 1st car was a 306 DTurbo and i loved it ok had its probs but all cars do when you think about it, i changed the car for a VW golf i liked it for a while then keep seeing 307s and had to have one so i got one it.

I like 5 doors more. I give people lifts more. And it's easier to get out of a 5 door as the doors are smaller. It's just preference Tremworth
