206 - Blaupunkt T1 radio

I recently bought a peugeot 206 from a mate and when i got it the radio was locked, but came with a code. The code works fine, the problem i have is that i have to enter the code near enough every time i restart the car.

If i turn the ignition off for a minute or so, it comes on straight away without asking for the code but if i leave the radio off for 10 minutes or so, it asks me for the code again.

I'm thinking there is probably a way of entering the code so that the code doesn't appear again but i didn't get any manuals with the car and so i don't know how to do this.

Can anyone help me out with this?
