Default 206 12 months tax cost?

Hi,
Ive seen a 206 1.4 HDI '2004' 53 plate on ebay, however it has no tax and i cant seem to find anywhere that would know how much it would be for 12 months? I believe it would be in the LGV bracket

Thanks in advance

It'll be taxed at that age according to the amount of carbon it emits. Even the same engine from different years car have a different tax bracket, as a change in the make of tyres fitted as standard can make 3g/KM difference either way.

It'll say on the V5C logbook, so ask the seller to tell you. If he doesn't have the logbook he's. Commiting an offence selling the car.

LGVs pay several thousand pounds a year road tax, and it's clearly not the case that even the dirtiest 206 emits enough bollocks to make it that expensvie.

Also, if it's an LGV you'd need to take another driving test, which is further bollocks.

It's based on emissions. You know the year, you can look the emissions up and then calculate the band yourself. Alternatively, pm the seller and ask him what the stated emissions are on the V5C. It's not rocket science really.

£30 sounds about right, if the 1.6 HDi falls into the next band up at £110, which it does.

LGV's aren't large goods vehices, they are Light goods vehicles which is the category a 206 van would fall into making it £200/yr.(commercial) If it's a car then see above.
