Default 2006 307 1.6 HDI Chugging

Hi all, I hope someone can help me with my very annoying problem. I bought my car last August and I have been having a problem with "chugging" or "hesitation" when driving on the motorway at 75 mph and 2500 rpm. The car pulls for a second then drives again fine. Since I have gotten the car I have completed the following work for different reasons but the problem still remains:

-replaced timing belt & chain
- replaced water pump
- replaced vacuum pump
- replaced MAF
- replaced crankshaft and camshaft sensor.
- fuel filter
- oil filter
- oil
- coolant

The car has been with the dealers and planet reported the crankshaft sensor. The problem has not been as severe since this was replaced but it still happens none the less. Any help would be greatly appreciated

just and update, i think I have established the jerking is actually a misfire. It typically occurs when the engine is travelling at a constant speed for a few mins. Yesterday when on the motorway i got the misfire and a few seconds later i got a msg saying Engine Management System Faulty. I'm now thinking EGR valve. Has anyone any suggestions

Hi,

Have you got any further with this problem? It sounds like I may have a similar problem but mine is cutting out when driving!! Had EGR valve replaced but it has made no difference!

Thanks

Sarah
