1.4 Hdi Eml

My daughter in law has just bought a 206 1.4 HDI I have changed the engine oil, oil filter fuel and air filter, and since then the EML comes on after a short while, after work when she comes out and starts the car its OFF but comes back on soon after??

Also its a 2002 car can anyone suggest a way to read the faults via OBD port, my mates ELM 327 will not recognise the cars OBD
