Another cause can be that the metal pins, that burst the airbags after fully inflating, are bent.

We had that. The dealer then tried to bill us for the repair work. Then I pointed out that it was a manufacturering fault, so he backed down and knocked it off the bill.

I tried out the tips given by you and guess what , it really work out for me.Before trying this I had fear of getting anything wrong , so was thinking whether to apply your tips or should I go to the mechanics. But finally my problem is solved now.

well most peugeots have the same or similar parts etc, the only way to find out is to do it im afraid.

you can take the battery case of by removing the housing for the air filter, atleast thats what i remember from memory.

taking the positive off will work aswell, aslong there is no full connection to complete the circuit your airbag shouldnt go off...
