Stupid question!

Was going to have a look at pp before taking the plunge to buy the interface cable. Downloaded and installed OK, but cannot run it. Do you need the interface cable plugged into the laptop/computer before it will run? If yes is there any way of fooling the system into thinking you have the interface cable installed so I can have a look at the software.

Yes, you need the interface connected.
