When you start it? when its running? Can you make out that its coming from the pulley area ? If you think its the bottom pulley get it seen to straight away.

More details describe when , where , how often etc etc

Hello,
The noise is there all the time. Sounds like a worn bearing. The car has only done 15,000 miles and is definately coming from the left hand side but difficult to tell from where due to the engine noise.
I thought i could maybe disconnect the alternator to elimenate that but the belt does all the 3 pullies.

if you have warrenty get it back to the garage and let them deal with it, sounds like a failure not wear and tear...

Sounds like possibly the water pump breaking up, which can happen on these. Unless you're sure it's something else, get it TOWED to a garage to be fixed.
