Noticed you are relying on moderation to prevent spam. Have you tried the stopforumspam plugin? Look it up yourself - I'm not posting a link as the post won't appear.

Other cool thing for vBulletin is the additional questions you can ask on registration. Ask "what car do you own?" and "what is your location".

It's a pain to check every registration manually so how about writing a little script to display the last 100 registrations to moderators. Add an IP lookup to compare actual location with stated location. Someone from the Phillapines who says they are from the USA and own a BMW. That's likely spam.

Me I'm not spam but I am a bit lefty. My motivation is to move the scene along and help others as I would hope to be helped. The current system makes me want to chose another forum despite valuable help from a member here. I'd like to PM him to say thanks but that's not possible.
