Default 308 XSE Touring 1.6L turbo automatic

I bouth my car in Feb 2010, new from store. Few months later the gear box started to jolt as if I was changing to gear without using the clutch. this is an automatic car.
I took it to the dealer in Brisbane and they told me it was due to poor petrol quality. Changed for the top quality still the problem didnt improve. Six months ago the car loss its power, specially climbing slopes in the road. It would make maximun 20 kmp. The problem extended also while joining a round about, motorway or trying to merge/overtake another car. Took to the dealer and they changed the "Pollution filter". two days later the same problem. I waited 7 weeks before I could take the car and this time Peugeot said it was a stretched timing chain that needed to be replaced. No need to say that two days later the car started to have the same problems as day one. The loss of power is intermitent, the jolts when changing gear to lower rev are constant and Peugeot Brisbane does not know what to do. They are relying in instructions from Peugeot Kuala Lumpur. No need to say that no courtesy car has been provided , no customer service or calls back when I leave messages to call me back. Is this a major problem that Peugeot should be recalling this model due to a fundamental problem with the turbo charger? Has anybody experience a similar problem? unfortunalty Peugeot service is appauling and customer service does not exist so I am frustrated as this is a car with only 30,000 kms, under warranty and nobody wants to explain things to me nor have the capability to fix it.

hi,

i think i remember someone posting about a similar fault...in the end all was needed was an update of software on the car or so they say.

Software or timing gear.
