Not sure if any of you know this so thought I would share with you.
I scratched the plastic on my mirror quite bad the other night while putting me car in the garage. Went to see a friend to see if anything could be done with it as the scratches really stood out as they looked White against the black. He told me to put an heat gun on medium to high heat and move it in a circular motion round the scratches (be careful though if near paint and also not to melt the plastic) and when you see the plastic to go abit shiney then stop as this is when it starts to melt, let it cool for a few seconds and repeat if they are still there. I really wish I had took pics to show the before and after but I didn't think it would work to be honest but it does lol. Mine were quite deep as like said I went down the garage wall. If I am been 100% honest if you look close you can still se the faintly but not at a glimpse and if you didn't know they were there you wouldn't see them. Like I say though you MUST be careful with heat around paint, glass and also not to melt the area you are treating. Stu |
