I've searched the forums for this fix but can't find it anywhere, so sorry mods if I'm just repeating something that's been discussed already.
Basically the rear bumper on the 307 has a nasty vertical crack in it (about 6" in length!!) I've bought a 'David's FASTGLAS' Glass fibre kit to try and repair it. The kit comes with reasonable instructions but I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge/experience with this kit or similar. I remember seeing a 'Wheeler Dealers' episode where Edd China fixed a bumper using something similar and the results were amazing. I'm going to do the glass fibre repair on the rear of the bumper and then fill/sand the front with flexible filler ready for paint. Probably not going to do this until spring as I'll have to do it outdoors, but I'll post pics when I do. In the mean time feel free to give me any tips/tricks you may know of. Cheers

hi bud i remember the episode and it was two part epoxy that he used which is the better option over fibreglass ..... first what you want to do is get a soldering iron and plastic weld the crack back together in other words melt it so it closes the crack, give it a quick sand down with some p240 grit aluminium oxide paper so the melted crack is pretty much level then what you need is a peice of acetate big enough to cover the crack and a tube of two part epoxy adhesive apply the epoxy over the plastic welded crack and then tape the acetate over the epoxy this allows a perfect flat surface so once the epoxy is dry all you have to do is level off the epoxy with more p240 ....... then high build primer it, flat with p800 wet and dry, colour it and laquer it ...... there you go a perfect crack repair never use fibreglass on a abs plastic bumper 9 times out of 10 it will crack and peel and look crappy, im a paint refinisher so if you need any more advice give use a shout
