Talking Whining noise when stereo is on

Got a slight problem whenever I put the other halfs rave music on, Not mechanical,electrical just annoying turns out it her banging on about a sub & amp how involved is it to put one in & hide all the cables + would I get any benefit when my old school AC/DC cd's are on

Yes you would, as if you channel all the signals into the amp, it will seperate the sounds to high freq, medium and low freq. The highs go to the tweets, the mediums go to speakers and the lows go to the sub. Lows are typical in bass guitars and any other bass instrument. From personal exp linkin park and pendulum sounds class on a system with a sub. Just get a decent sub and amp, get it fitted correctly and it will be bang on

I get a whining noise when my heater is also, hot or cold. Whats the deal with that?

These noises come from lack of supression of the components or bad earthing.
