Hello there peeps,
First as this is my first post and i am new to this i would like to say hello to you all, I have jut brought myself a 51 plate 307 xsi and i love it, but the Blaupunkt 5 multi disc unit doesnt work, 1-5 buttons flash and if you do insert a CD it wont eject, which i have read is a machanical fault with the unit and not worth fixing, so i went on ebay and found another multi disc which also came with a cd head unit (RD4 N1-02)this came out of a 2005 model, i was happy enough to keep the head unit i already had in the car (not sure what model but its the tape player) so just changed over the multi disc but that also didnt work, lights come on, and you can eject the CD but my head unit doesnt seem to see the CD player, so i fort i would swap the head units over, but they are completly diffenent plugs and pins. is there a converter i need or anything like that to get one of my head units to work with one of my CD changers? Many thanks |

It may require coding to the car.... I know it does when you change the head unit anyway.
Check the Peugeot Planet map (under Maintenance) and see if there is anyone locally who may be able to help

from what i understand the headunit needs telling the cd changer is there otherwise it just ignores the ports so to say
not sure if there is an adaptor cable for what your after. maybe your local dealer could help on this. as above find someone local with planet to help program your headunit and cd changer.

Your 307 is 2001, and therefore VAN-Bus, it has the RB3 / RD3 Headunit. The CD changer you have bought, which came with the RD4 headunit, came out of a CAN-Bus 307, and is not compatible with your car, it will not work, and NO there is no adapter to make the RD4 work in a RD3 system, no way! Remember, 307 2001 - 2005 is different than 307 2006 - 2008 |

I don't know any places that repair the CD changer, and if there is, it would be the same price as buying a second hand unit Either buy a second hand changer that works, or a buy the original CD player and replace the changer space with the pocket shelf... Regards |
