**** RESOLVED ****
Hi all! I'm new to this forum, and also, new to the 206! I have a small issue. I have a Peugeot 206 2.0 HDi sw, and I cannot get the voice command to work when I press the button on the left hand column. It is supposed to beep, and then allow you to speak a command, (eg ...next track) and this is not happening. I have tried and tried to get it to work, but to no avail! Any ideas please? Thank you. ************ Press 'menu' select 'configuration' select 'voice command options' press 'activate' press 'ok' now you can press the light stalk button and speak your commands. works great! Thanks. Last edited by matt_tee; 07-24-2010 at 09:54 PM. Reason: Found solution |

I had the voice command system in the 407, but I switched it off - every time I shouted "F***ing a***hole" at another motorist it would automatically phone my bosses office!
Sorry...

Well, we can try. I wasn't aware that any 20x series pug had such a function. Is it standard, or part of some aftermarket kit? Do you have a pic of the button so we know which one you mean?

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. here are the pictures which you requested: see attachments. The manual instructs to press button until it beeps, then say commands. I have included a picture of the microphone which is situated by the rear view mirror. Is there a way to activate/de-activate this feature? and have I de-activated it by mistake? Thanks for any help in advance. Matt (pictures are sideways, sorry!). |

Are you talking about the button that says auto?
If so isnt that the button to activate/deactivate the automatic lights feature??

I think that's a sensor for an alarm (or at least where a sensor would be if you did have an alarm), not a microphone.

no, it definitely has voice control, and that button is supposed to activate it, according to the manual.

Sorry chum, I'm stumped. Don't place too much faith in the manual as they often mention features not avilable on UK cars, the most famous example being diesel engines in 107s!
PM me your full 17 digit VIN and I'll research it further for you.
