IIRC, rt5's are pretty recent units, so im guessing your car is rather new. Hopefully you still have yours under warranty? Other than that, looks like a buggered screen connection. Youll need to dig around a bit first, could be the ccfl light or the actual screen connection.

I cant really see from the video, but would you explain the problem rather like:
- Image is present but the backlight is cutting out? - Backlight is present buy image is cuttign out? Depending on either one of those, you would have to either check the ccfl cable or the light itself, or the high-voltage converter thingy powering the ccfl, or if 2nd problem then you need to check the cable for display. Best take it to local tv electrician, repairman etc, they should be very well suited to fix that, as thats more closely their expertise than the car electricians in my opinion. |

okay, we are getting somewhere now. Few things to check:
- Power wires to the ccfl - Power wires from car or whatever to the high voltage ac thingy, caution there, you can get seriously messed up if you fiddle with it when its powered. - CCFL itself I cant help you more than that unfortunately, if you feel avanturistic, here are instructions on pretty much default basis when it comes to lcd screens and replacing ccfl bulb: Laptop Repair Help » How to replace laptop backlight lamp (CCFL) Again, my recommendation is to take the car to local tv repair shop and let them sort it.
