Your rt4 entering economy mode before you start the engine could suggest that your battery is running low in charge, it is protecting itself by shutting down any unneccesary perphirals to save the battery live, stick a multimeter across your battery, ive always been told a healthy battery should measure between 12.5-13.7v any lower and i would consider charging it, and if the problem persists i.e battery keeps losing charge consider replacing and have the charging circuits checked however bad alternators etc should trigger warning lamps.
