Hi All...
We have a 2007 Peugeot Boxer (Motorhome) and when the RDS / Traffic Announcements cuts in it's extremely loud making us almost jump out of our seats, it's extremely distracting as you have to attempt to turn it down momentarily losing concentration on the road ahead ![]() Anyway, it went into Peugeot today (for something else) and I asked them if they could take a look and adjust the volume of the RDS, they said they had looked at it & hopefully they had corrected it but couldn't be certain. What they appear to have done is turned down the front speakers & increased the rear speakers via the fader setting in the menu I guess thinking it wouldn't be so loud in the front, on the way home it cut in and is just as loud as before!! ![]() So if anyone can suggest what setting I should be looking for in the radios menu it would be a great help as I've looked and looked and can only see the option to switch the RDS on or OFF and it's driving us nuts!! Have a manual but that gives very little info in relation to the menu settings etc Thanks |

Firstly, RDS has nothing to do with the traffic reports
![]() The traffic reports come from the TA setting ![]() I never have it enabled in my 407, mainly as the traffic reports are of very little use these days. I have never seen a setting to change the volume of the traffic... other radios do, but I don't think the Peugeot one does.

On mine you just have to adjust volume during the TA and it's saved at that level same for satnav.

Hi Guys... Thanks for the replies, had already tried this and have tried it since but it doesn't memorise the volume level still as loud as ever, thought the EXT volume might be connected possibly to this but turning that down also seems to make no differenceI can't believe the dealers either, if a Peugeot dealership doesn't know how to set this then it's a poor old show especially when they are charging £81 per hour Someone said RDS & TA are different things, fair point.. it's the traffic announcements that cut in over the radio program that I'm trying to sort out The radio is listed in the book as a Fiat 250 CD SB05, but the Peugeot handbook / manual shows very few settings |

After checking in the handbooks for various Boxers, it would appear that your radio should be remembering the volume setting that you select whilst the traffic report is being broadcast (as suggested previously).
Is the radio keeping a permanent positive connection? Does anything else get lost when switching off the ignition?

Yes it's keeping a permanent connection, all other settings are retained without any problem, have reduced the volume a number of times, but as soon as it cuts in again it literally blows you outta the seat If I cant work this out then I'll have no choice but to disable it, but we use this feature quite alot when traveling and have never had this problem with any of our other vehicles. Thanks again |
