Default RADIO RECEPTION PROBLEM IN 370cc

Hello - I'm new to this site and to Peugeots! Just purchased a 2004 307CC and everything is working fine, even the CD player, but can't get anything but 'hissing' from any radio channel on any frequency. It sounds as if there is no aerial reception (is the aerial incorporated in the rear window), but we have had the radio out and it is connected to the back of that ok. Can anyone help please - thanks Caroline

Hi, I have the same problem, and please notice that I am from Bosnia so I don't really have an access to genuine Peugeot parts. I own a 2003 206 and can't get any radio stations at all. When I took apart the roof areal I saw only one thick black wire attached directly to a radio with a standard aerial jack. Thanks in advance...

is this on all frequency bands such as DAB (if capable), FM, AM etc?

Does it play CD's fine?

have you checked the rear of the unit to ensure cables are secure?

sorry if some of the questions are noddy, just getting down to things.

If the aerial is incorporated into the rear screen i would check connections there and ensure they are not corroded and securely fit.

hope this helps

Hi John - thanks for reply. Yes. the problem is on all frequencies - it does play CDs fine and we have had the back off to check the cables there. Haven't tried the connections to rear windscreen yet - 2 reasons: wasn't absolutely sure that that was where the aerial was and don't know where connections are. Any more tips gratefully received - thank you

Yeah i would assume the aerial is integral to the rear screen if there is no external antenna.
