Hi,
i was wondering if anybody can help me with a problem with my radio (RT4 firmware 8.20) since i upgraded to the latest firmware the radio signal is almost non existent and when i press the button to scan i get nothing. I've had the radio out and all the connections are there except the grey one has nothing connected to it (what is it for?) There is the same vehicle at work with the same radio and the signal is perfect so i'm baffled, should i downgrade to version 8.11?also; The RDS is greyed out even tho in settings it is set as activated...any ideas anybody? Thanks in advanced Tony

The cable for the grey one hasn't come out by any chance and dropped down behind all the heater control panel?? I believe my RD4 has two connectors which look like they are something to do with the aerial.
RDS might be greyed out if its not receiving a signal in order for RDS to function.

I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure mine has both cables plugged in - trying to Google a diagram

If your car came originally fitted with RT4, it should be connected If you fitted RT4 yourself or by previous keeper, the connection will not be there... |

Could not find any cable to connect to the grey connector, however, whilst routing around i found a green connector not connected to anything which looks something like this (see attached picture)
Any ideas? Cheers Tony

That is the GSM connector, that connects to the red round connector behind the RT4
