Hi, first post so please go easy on me...............
I've bought a Pug 206 for my daughter and the car is great, it's a MY05!! Not sure if it's me or the car but whenever I put a CD in the player nothing happens, the display shows "_ _ Track" and after around 5-10seconds it spits the CD out. The radio works fine and the Cd's are original. Any help would be great and remember go easy on me as it's my first post. Thanks Snowy

My first question was going to be are they original, or copies, or even MP3, but you answered that
![]() I did once have a similar thing with my 306 a few years back, but this was after buying the radio off ebay and first installing. I think it had got a bit of a knock in the post but anyway, I took the cover off, and the CD holder wasn't sitting right and had got lodged up (hence why I think it happened in the post). I gave this a nudge, and it slipped straight back into position, and the CDs would then play.Don't know if yours has ever been removed? If it has, might be worth checking the CD holder is free to move around

mmmm............thanks for the reply!
The car is fitted with an RD3 and as far as I can tell looks fine, she also tell's me the first few days she used the player it played fine but now just show's the " _ _ Track" error. Not sure the CD player has ever been removed and she is only the second owner, but I will have a look to see. I'm new to this Pug seen so will go and have a look for her. Once again many thanks for the help. |

If it was working for her, and you've not removed it, I very much doubt it would be the same as mine - it would take rather a violet knock to do replicate what had happened to mine, and I don't think it would have happened from being in situ.
Sorry, can't be of any further help.

Have you checked to see if there isn't a cd already lodged in there? this happened on my old cd changer and it would act in the same manner.

you may be able to remove the front cover of the radio if you remove it from the dash, if you can you would probably be able to just grab the cd. I would first try and see if there was anything inside with a torch by peering through the slot, if you can see a cd then at least you know what the problem is.

You can get one on eBay from about £30 onwards, cheaper if you get one on a auction instead of buy it now. You can also get the code on here for around a fiver. All depends on m3mpower's prices though.
