Default radio/ cd changer problem

Hi
Not sure if this is a simply prob or as im not very good with cars

I have a 206 w reg with the standard tape player in front and a cd changer in the boot, the radio has never worked since i brought it but the cd charger always did.
It went in to have a new clutch and come back out with nothing working Im sure its connected to the battery.
I pulled the radio out the unit and I have 1 loose wire which is the white one but there is no where for it to go?? it looks like its got some old glue on one side.

by saying the radio has never worked, i assume you can still get the radio function but no stations...maybe the aerial is knackered (new aerial req) or the part of the receiving unit is duff (new headunit).

as for the white wire, i would say it sounded as it was jacked into another connection. possibly power or signal on to the changer.
