Peugeot 406 Radio Questions

Hello all,

I just came into possession of a 2000 Peugeot 406 and I've got a few questions about the audio system:

1) It currently has a Clarion PU-1633A fitted - does this have the same ISO connector the PU-2417A? If so, does it have the same signals carried on each pin?

2) Is the PU-1633A in swappable with other PU radios? They all seem to be designated RD3 in some places - I understand that VIN coding is necessary as will be a fascia plate.

Also, this 406 has a similar external screen that the 307 has for the radio if that makes any difference.

If the radio you have is out of a 307 old model then the connectors will be the same. New shape 307 has full CAN network and different radios.
