Default No memory on headunit

Hey all..

I have been searching through the forums and i can't find what i'm looking for so maybe someone can help..

I have a JVC head unit and like other posts it will not hold any memory..

I did try something about moving fuse 24 to see if that helps but i still have the same issues...

How am i able to make a perm live to keep the memory or can someone give any info on the wiring loom so i can try and make something as it is getting a little annoying..

Thanks all :-)

Is this an aftermarket JVC?

If so they some times have bullet connectors on the switched and permanent lives and they sometimes need swapping over

as wardy says, on the harness you got with it, it should have bullet connectors on both the red and yellow wires. basically unplug both, put red into yellow and yellow into red...

Nope mine didn't come with the iso loom lads. Basicly i just plug the wiring loom directly into the back of the headunit and it works that way hence why i was asking about the 206 diagram..

Or am i going to have to buy a wiring loom block..

You gonna need to chop the permanent 12V and switched 12V lines on your loom and swap them round, ie. red to yellow and yellow to red (or whatever colours your car uses).

Either that or buy an ISO extension cable in Halfrauds and chop it instead if you don't like messing with original wiring...

If you get an ISO extension loom as Roos K suggests then you can swap the +ve's on this so not having to touch your cars loom
