Hi all,
I'm a complete novice at cars....just bought a 2002 Peugeot 307 and I'm looking to upgrade the radio in it to something a bit more than the standard one the car comes with. With that in mind, I've been looking at various websites, as you do....as well as some auto shops too. Has to have bluetooth etc. etc. The problem is - I've got no idea what'll fit, and what won't - and if the steering wheel control thing will work too - there is a heads up display on the panel up near the windscreen that currently displays what radio station I'm listening to, but I'd imagine I'd lose that functionality - that's fair enough. If I paste a few links below this, could any car enthusiasts tell me a yay/nay to them working properly/fitting properly in my car? I'm reading horror stories at having to cut the dashboard or something? I'd much appreciate any advice! I found 2 radios on eBay that I'd really like to get: and Cheers, David |

hi and welcome.
basically any standard single DIN or Double DIN will fit. to get a double din to fit, you may have to cut the seperator away...its only a small piece of plastic and will be amazed if you manage to mess that up. the headunit wont work with the stalk or display. but you can get the stalk to work again if the headunit is remote commander or media stalk capable by buying an adaptor and patch lead. unfortunately the display on top of the dash will never work. but it will still show date time temp and trip info. i cant look at the links posted as work pcs block ebay but since they are double din it should be all good

Thanks for the quick reply! Much appreciated...as I said, I'm a complete novice!! Thats fair enough...I'll get someone to put it in for me I'd say, but its just trying to pick stuff in the first place! Not sure if you can view the pics below, but they're the spec for the one I was thinking about getting (seperate to eBay) From reading the specs, it does seem to be capable of interfacing with the stalk (as you said, the dash display won't work, but that's fine) ![]() ![]()

no worries,
i just bought and installed a ford double din sat nav/dvd player and fitted it to my car...its pretty straight forward, but there is one bit of soldering (dvd player function) and a little programming for the stalk, which isnt the best instructions given if buying from china. also a little drilling may have to be carried out for the IPOD cable...i put mine in the glove box. if you live in the north east area, such as darlington, gateshead/newcastle or whitby areas i can come and fit this for you for a few beer tokens...be far more cheaper then getting a fitter. but anyways yes this should fit...its a standard double din size. i installed this one: FORD FOCUS FIESTA TRANSIT DVD GPS Player - 7 Digital HD Touchscreen DVD - Car Stereo iPod BT Control possibly from the same person if its on ebay...qualir?
