Hello all,
I am having a read around looking for an update for the sat nav on my 407. I have the colour screen nav system which works on its own without any cd needed. I think this is the RT4 model. I would be hugely greatful if anyone could help me with the following questions: How do I find out what version software the sat nav is running? (press and hold menu for 2 seconds, select unit description, it will show the software version) How do I update it to the latest version? Are there any other recommended upgrades for any other features of the car e.g. phone, changer, mp3 playback etc? The dealer I bought the car from on Sunday provided paperwork but no radio code. Since this comes with the Parrot BT kit I wanted to remove the BT kit but am wary that I may lock out the radio / nav etc... Can anyone tell me if this can be locked out and I need a code? (Coded to car - no code needed) I begrudge paying a stealer or peugeot for something the car should have come with. Many thanks Last edited by dustynet; 07-12-2011 at 12:05 PM. Thanks Betty. Thats a load off my mind.
Now I want to pull out this BT kit but again, my car didnt come with any radio removal tools. I can see a couple of holes on the front of the radio unit. Is this just the old coat hanger trick, or something more clever? Do I need a special tool to remove this in order to pull the plugs on the back of the radio? I have contacted Peugeot to ask for this "free" nav update which I keep reading about on various forums. Can anyone tell me they have successfully had this delivered and what any terms or conditions are around this? Im currently in the process of getting a royal run-around with Peugeot trying to obtain this. My final question is : Can i upgrade the hard disk in the back of the unit to store more MP3s in the dukebox? What drives are used and is there any spec. Cheers again |

To remove the RT4 you will need a torx T10 screwdriver, unscrew the screws on the side and pull out the headunit. RT4 plays MP3 as standard. Best regards |
