Default Fitting new speaker 307

Hi!

A question! I have just ordered new component speakers for the front of my 2004 307xs estate, I was wondering if I will have to use the included crossover or if i'll be fine just replacing the actual speakers and tweeters? I would imagine there is a built in crossover in the stereo as it is already a component system but i'd like to be sure :-)

Cheers!

Im trying to do the same just I'd like to add rear speakers in the rear door cards. 13cm speakers is what I need and was thinking of putting it tweeters just above the top point of the seat belt. Im wondering if I just tap into the rear speaker wiring in the iso connector on the back of the stereo.....

You might be better off finding the speaker wire somewhere behind the centre pillar just before it goes into the back door and splitting the sound from there?

Should be easy enough then to run the speaker wire for the tweeter from there.

I think the sound to the speakers in the back should be full range?

Default speaker polarity?

Well, the actual change of the speakers went well, apart from a small problem, It seems impossible to find the polarity for the speakers anywhere! I don't have a multimeter so if anyone has changed the speakers on a 307 I would REALLY appreciate them letting me know which colors/numbers are positive for the front speakers and tweeters.

Im currently getting a crackling noise when the volume goes above 6 and I'm thinking i've got the speakers plugged in wrong

I have searched the net and looked through wiring diagrams but have been unable to find an answer!
