Default Changing Stereo in Peugeot 206cc

Hi guys,

So have Peugeot 206cc - Had it 2 years and just now am looking at changing the stereo.

It has the default/original one in it -

-

I got this Pioneer one on a special deal recently

Amazon.com: Pioneer DEH-3300UB CD Receiver with iPod Direct Control and USB Input: Electronics Amazon.com: Pioneer DEH-3300UB CD Receiver with iPod Direct Control and USB Input: Electronics

-

So today I took the Stereo out, then I got a bit confused how to connect/what to do next.

The original Peugeot one - Has an ANTENNA lead connected to it and it has 3 other different cables attached to it.

I can take them all out, no problem.

-

The back of the Pioneer one, has an ANTENNA socket, but it's like "empty" - so I can't plug the normal car antenna attachement into it - what do I do there?

Secondly, the back of the Pioneer has a slot and in the packaging I got an adaptor that goes into that slot and then allows me to attach the black/white cable from car into that one but then that leaves on cable from the Peugeot just dangling/not connected

-

Can anyone guide me on what to do here? How to proceed? Would be much appreciated

You'll need something like this for the aerial:

Autoleads PC5-27 ISO-DIN Car Radio Aerial Adaptor - Autoleads

A quid at any car spares.

If you car has the steering column radio controls you'll need to buy a Peugeot - Pioneer adaptor to get it to work.

Possibly something like this:

Then this:

But seek advice before buying.

gibbo is pretty much there you will need this for the aerial:

CAR STEREO/RADIO AERIAL ANTENNA ADAPTOR FOR VAUXHALL/PEUGEOT/FIAT/CITROEN CARS: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike CAR STEREO/RADIO AERIAL ANTENNA ADAPTOR FOR VAUXHALL/PEUGEOT/FIAT/CITROEN CARS: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

although you normally get this within the box for the headunit.

for the media stalk you will need:

PC99-X44(2001+)/X26 (sep 99-sep 00)/X19 (oct 98-sep 99)/X23(sep 00-may 01) (although will need to check year of the car)
Car Audio & Security: Car Stereo, Speakers & Subwoofers, Car DVD Players, GPS and CD Changers

PC99-Son (they work with pioneer also) Car Audio & Security: Car Stereo, Speakers & Subwoofers, Car DVD Players, GPS and CD Changers

What are the differences between the CONNECTS2 and AUTOLEAD types on that website John? Just different manufacturers or different parts altogether?
