Default Changing cassette to a CD

Hi all
Just bought a 52 reg 206 and unfortunately it only has a Peugeot Cassette radio.
I want to change this to a CD player
Nothing too fancy, But it must still work off the steering column stalk and still show the details on the dash display.
What should I be looking for, bearing in mind i think I read somewhere it needs to be matched/coded to your cars ECU ????

Thanks Gazza

match coding is easy, just couple of $$$

look on ebay perhaps for 206 cd players, if not local peugot dealers, scrapy's etc...

Hi, you should get the original CD player RD3 for your car, that way the remote control stalk and display will all work as normal, and yes the VIN coding has to be done but that's not a problem
Are you still looking?

Hi, go to eBay and type item number 280653434435 in the search box, this is what you need for your 206, and it will arrive to you already VIN coded.

ps: where are you based?

Regards

or you can buy an after market unit and add a special interface, the stalk control still works but you will loose the display ie you will see the time and date only.

I am wanting to do the same. A straight switch over, take the radio/cassete player out and replace with a cd player. How do I go about doing it. I read somewhere about corrupting the bsi or something when dissconecting the battery. I only know the basics when it comes to cars really so any help would be really appreciated.

thanks
