Default CD Multichanger Problem 307 Sport 2005

I have had my car for about 3 years and in the last few months I am having problems with the factory fitted blaupunkt CD multichanger. It still acknowledges that a CD has been inserted and the relevant number light for the slot changes from off to amber as it should. After first insertion, if you press the relevant number button, or source button, number light changes to green and CD player loads relevant tray, beeps to acknowledge a disc but then returns to radio. Once this initial try has bee n made, the light remains amber, but it will not try and load the CD again unless you remove it and re insert it. I have read numerous posts about problems with the CD multichanger but none seem to be the same problem as Im having. Please help!!

Try using a cd lens cleaning disk, its a cd with a little brush attached that will clean your cd players lens.
