406 stereo in a 307?

Hi,

I was wondering if my friends 406 stereo will fit and work in my 307. He's getting a new stereo and my 307 only has a tape player. Does anyone know if this swap will work?

My car is a 307 2.0HDI 2001 90BHP model.

The stereo from the 406 is a Clarion RD3-01, MODEL PU-2473A(B).

Also anyone know how I would get the code for the stereo. My friend bought his 406 second hand and the code card was not present.

If you get me his vin number i can get the code for £5 paypal if that helps.

check the dimensions to make sure it fits, and also check the connector on the rear fits...if it does you could be in luck
