Default 307 RD3 mp3 player options

Hi i have done a bit of reading on this but after some info please peeps:

I have a 307 (2004) fitted with an RD3 CD player. I want to hook up an mp3 adapter, in my old car i used a cassette to 3.5 mm adapter, cheap but very effective.

If i want to change my cd player for a cassette, i will have the program the new headunit to my vin number. How do i do that?

There are a few sellers on ebay reckon they can do this if you provide them with your VIN number, so may go for that.

Otherwise, whatelse could i do to connect to the current headunit? it has a multi changer function so could fool the headunit and use that as an AUX input.

Thanks in advance

Hi
You will need diagnostic equipment to program the new unit.
Otherwise, I have a spare 307 cassette player, I can sell it to you cheap, it will come already programmed to your car,

Le me know

Regards

that would be great if you could program it too.

If you are interested- would it be possible for you to send me the cassette player, and providing it works ok, i will send you my working CD player as payment?

What model cassette player is it? Will it still work with the dash display and the steering column controls?

Cassette player with a cassette-to-3.5mm adapter works great.

Thanks

Alternatively, you could keep the cd player and get an adapter cable which connects in the changer socket, see this thread:

Aux input for peugeot 307 stereo, connect iphone???

I ordered one and it just turned up today, wont get a change to try it till the weekend though, but it looks good.

Hi
That cable looks to be only compatible with 307 CAN and not VAN
