Default 3008 with RD4, improvement idead ?

My brand new 3008 is equipped with the very basic RD4 (this is the only option available with the local dealer). I'm looking desperately for an enhancement, eg. BT capabilities, USB access. Does anyone have an experience or an idea for such an enhancement, any solution is welcome, even replacing the whole unit.

btw, I have found on the web some info regarding a usb box that connects to the device and acts as a CD charger, however I can't find any info. weather it supports the RD4 model that is in use in the new 3008.

Thanks in advance !

Hi, it all depends on your budget!
if budget isn't tight, you can go for the Sat Nav RNEG system, it has GPS, Bluetooth, MP3...etc, some high spec 3008 have it from factory

The issue is that the Sat Nav RNEG is not available for purchase and furthermore a special installation is required I guess (eg. installing the on dash LCD). BUt if you have a lead on buying the system over the web it may help.

Oh yes it is possible to purchase of course, you can upgrade from RD4 to RNEG and the installation is easy, three wires to modify from your current loom, add a loom from the screen to the unit, microphone, and that's it done!
I have done that on my 307 and it works great!
i should upload some photos in the "showroom" section
if you are looking for RNEG headunit, I have one, with the SD card but I do not have the screen at the moment for 3008

Regards

The screen will be the mail issue as it requires some serious changes on the dashboard top, right ?

yes, the screen is maybe more difficult than the headunit, but if you have the right screen with all the bits, then it should be easy
i have done it on my 307, but i bought the screen base and bracket from Peugeot so it looks as if it was from factory
