Post 207 AUX Help!!!!!!!!!

Hi i have a 207 and have recently bought the Aux in that goes on to the orginal RD4 Headunit. I understand that i might need to enable it via peugeot planet. Is this correct? if so why is this so as i did read it on here that someone did it without enabling it Please help if you can.

Thank You .

Just done mine on a 407 RD4 unit. Bought one of these, connected to one of the AUX in's at the back on the unit.
Depends if you have any of the Aux inputs showing up as options when pressing the source button. I had to enable mine with PP.

Works perfectly through the headphone socket of MP3, phone etc.
No controls through car or display on MFD unit, but can live with that for £10.99.

Only thing is volume has to be turned up quite a lot.

Malcolm.

Thanks I got the same one too and when i press source the aux option does not come on ive tried finding a person who lives near with PP but still had no luck. Do you have PP yourself? or did you pay for it? I know that pegeot charge an extortionate amount for it.

Yes took the plunge and bought PP a couple of months ago after finding the non-Peugeot rate for diagnostics to be around the £30 mark(used 3 times and it's paid for itself) I found someone who chips cars who had PP and was prepared to do diagnostics on the cheap.

Looking at your previous posts your in the West Midlands, near Birmingham. You might be able to do a deal with DJ206 in Coventry or donp in Kidderminster. Worth contacting them to see if they are near you.
Malcolm.

Thank you Malcolm, I work in Leamington Spa so hopefully the guy in Coventry can help me or Kidderminister either will be fine. Yea i am thinking about it tbh buying my own they cost around £100 pound but then again i am just a little worried about the investment being a student etc but i suppose i could help other people with it which will help me recoup the costs and also personal use. i hope you had a wonderful christmas and thanks for your help.
