206 gti in dash clock problem

hi,
i recently got my first 206 gti. i got the car second hand and as per usual it has a few problems. the in dash screen that has the clock etc in it was working and they guy selling it said it was as he chnged the cd player to a sony one.

i have purchased all the adapters for the sony stereo and now stalk etc works however the screen in the dash board still doesnt work.

also, when i turn the stereo up a little suddenly the power cuts off and it restarts itself.

is there any way to fix those problems and if so how?
