1007 Stalk... Am I going mad...
Hi all,
Well first post and its not good... My partner just bought a 1007 56 plate, not bad car, perfect for what she needs. I have a Kenwood KDC-W7031 headunit with stalk control ability... Heres the fun bit, apparently a stalk convertor cable doesnt exist for this car. When i removed the stereo it has standard ISO connectors from what i can see. I have spoken to the local audio tech people that are usually on the ball, in the book it apparently requires a "Quadlock" connector. I explained that it has what appears to be ISO connectors. He then said they can supply the cable to connect the headunit with some flylead for the ignition. When i said i need a stalk adaptor lead i got a blank look... apparently they dont exist, he also filled me with confidence when he said, "I haven't ever looked at changing the stereo in one of these" Brilliant! Basically does anyone out there have a clue how i get this damn stalk working with the head unit, the stalk and original headunit look identical to the c3 we used to have which was a 53 plate. HELP! |

Hi, im not sure on the 1007, but it is possible.
i would look up to see if pc99-x44 and pc99-ken is compatable for your needs. just stick those numbers in google and you will find them

After ranting for a while i managed to get hold of autoleads technical phone number... Got the details if anyone else requires it, though given the price i think im gonna try and convince the missus otherwise. Autoleads PC30-PSA Autoleads PC30-KEN Both required for a grand total of £100 parts only from Pulse Car Audio, Hadleigh, Essex...  Autoleads wont sell to me directly... FANTASTIC... Regretting her buying this bloody car already... |
