Default My 806

Hi All,

Well I've been on here a while now and thought Id fill you in a bit on my 806.

She is a "P" reg 806 sl 2l in Izmir green (pearlescent).
I bought it in january with a heater matirx problem, I put K-seal in it and that worked. It was sorned till April when our other car died and we could get her MOTed.

When we started to drive her we had a slight knocking at the rear (it passed an MOT though) and we still can't find what the noise is.
The passenger side sliding door motor will not work and the drivers door lock will work sometimes with the key. When we got the car it had damage to the passenger side sliding door and no strip.

I need a new clasp for the drivers side rear window (i've tied whats left of the clasp to the tailgate ram).

We are going on holiday to Bude next week and as the car did'nt come with any history I will be fitting a cambelt kit today (will let you know how that went).

I have fitted a towbar for the caravan and wired it up (both plugs work!! )

I hope I have'nt bored you to death.

Mike

Hi all,

Well the cambelt kit went well with no problems......

Didn’t have the lock off tool set so did the job using tip-ex, just set piston 1 to the top and then marked each pulley with 2 marks to line up with.

Took old belt off, put new one on then spun the crank using a bar twice to check that the marks line up again.

All was well so put it all back together again.

Found I now need front pads, will check rears just for the hell of it!
And the front anti roll bar bushes don’t look too clever either.

It's just typical do one job and find others to do next.....

For the rear window catches - check the price of the Citroen one before buying a Peugeot one.
Last time I bought one - Citroen were a lot cheaper for what appeared to be the same part.

If I recall correctly I don't think they are handed. I'm sure someone who has bought one recently can confirm.

I'd recommend you buy a spare - just in case too.

regards
C.T.
