Default 807 wiper fault

Hi
having problem with wipers on 2003 reg 807.
wipers set off and stop half way, sometimes will resume after a few seconds and sometimes need to flick control arm to complete wipe.
enquired at peugeot who could not say except a diagnostic needs doing.
would imagine this has happened to other 807s, is it wiper motor, controller?
any help gratefully received!!

Hi

I dont have first hand experience of this fault on your model of car, but the symptoms sound like its a problem with one of the switches in the motor housing.

I am not sure how much diags will tell you without actually replacing the
motor unit.

Sorry thats not much help!

I would agree its the motor side and on the older cars its due to grease build up on the contacts which I have had numerous times but I opened the unit to explore ( electrical side mainly ) then sprayed with electrical cleaner,

some times it worked other time I replaced the motor.

not 100% any diagnostics would help unless it has rain sensors and that's new to me.

Do you hear any relays clicking when the wipers stop?
