807 transmission manual

Ay up, i have just changed from a V6 mondeo to a 2.2 hdi due to an unfortunate write off (landrover drove in to me) and would like to know if there is any way of tightening the gear stick as there seems to be a little play in all gears (side to side movement) something i have not encountred in any of my previous cars (all fords). cheers

It's a cable change, just the way they are. Not much can be done about it, except replacing the cables with new ones, and that probably won't help much.
