Default tyre valves

i think ive got two tyre valves leaking, been told by tyre fitters that ive got to buy valves myself from peugeot (he thinks there about £25), he can fit them and then ive got to go to dealers to get them programmed another £60, is this right. can i get dealers to disconnect tyre sensors all together so i dont need expensive valves.

dont bother with them mate... just get them switched off..

Dealers charge £60 but you can get them switched off by contacting one of the members here who own Planet..

There's a cheaper option than re-programming or buying a planet box, adopted by my car's previous owner. Just put in ordinary valves for twopence and watch the system give one warning that - 'It can't find tyre pressures' about a minute after startup.

I'm only guessing now, but owning a planet box probably doesn't make you an auto electrician any more than owning your own scalpel makes you a surgeon.

This is very true but it`s less dangerous to operate on your car than it is to operate on yourself.

my warning lights seem to come on and never go off, its very annoying watching a warning light flash on and off all the time. just thought if peugeot planet wasnt that much it might be worth investing in 1.
