Replacing Front Pads
Yesterday I replaced the Front Discs and pads on my late 2005 607. Whilst bedding them in the warning light came on and then low pads came up. Trolling through the forum I came across a thread about disc pad warning, saying low pads when they had not long been replaced, saying cut the low pad wiring from the sensor off and the lights would not work.
When removing, checking and replacing the new pads doing the passenger side first the warning lights still came on, I tackled the drivers side and found that one of the wires had it's protective coating damaged with a slight nick showing the wires. Taping over the wire and refitting the pads upon testing, everything back to normal.
So, if you do replace pads make sure that the wear sensor wire is intact before fitting everything.
