Angry Ignition coils Warranty Rip Off

My car has decided to give problems as it approaches its 10th birthday. I have had 3 occasions when it has developed a missfire.
Planet tells me that an ignition coil has stopped working, a different cylinder each time. Always one on the rear bank. (Its a V6 petrol).
So
I change the coils (in pairs) £30 each. Cured the problem each time.
Now for my problem.
One of the new coils I replaced has stopped working. Number 6, I know its the coil (swapped it with cylinder 5, and the missfire moved to 5). The coil is only 21 days old so should be under warranty.
The dealer tells me to drive the car to them (with the possibility of catalitic converter damage which they won't cover,) so they can test it. At my expense. If they confirm its the coil then they'll replace it.
In short.
They want me to drive my car but won't cover any subsequent damage, test it at a cost of £72 and then replace a £30 part. RIP OFF or what.
Does anyone Know a more sensible way of getting a warranty replacement part or have I been shafted again by the dealer.

I have already bought another part so its the cost I want not another coil.

They won't give you the cost.
They will need the faulty part back to do a parts warranty claim.
Plus a printout of the faults for warranty.

Thought so.
Guess I'll have to swallow the cost.
Cheers for the quick answer.

like tallpaul said, if you paid by credit card, dispute it under Section 78 of consumer credit act, you are more likely to get your money back.
