Default here i am again...

i seem to be treading these halls of peugeotforums again, in need of advice,

i have what can only be described as a very loud rasp, you know the sound you got from a pushbike with a card hitting against the spokes of the wheel, well, it sounds like that, but its coming from the block. it seems to quiten down when warm, but just starting the car up to that point its very obvious to the ears.

its doing it when idling and under throttle so its nothing to do with the turbo.

what you guys think?

presume 00000515V6 is the part number...so it comes in a double pack does it? how bout the actuator flap rod thingy? (on the right hand side of the block next to the egr pipe and air intake pipe, look like the rod is held at the base by three torx bols and connects on the block to a butterfly flap.)
